LNK FUNDRAISING

More than ten years ago, I fell in love. But not in the way you’re thinking.

 

As a sophmore at San Diego State University, I interned for a sports marketing company that held an annual celebrity golf tournament to benefit the local children's hospital. For months, I helped plan, fundraise and organize volunteers. Ultimately, at the conclusion of the event, I presented the $100,000 check to Rady Children’s Hospital that they used to purchase new technology and equipment. Saying this is when I became hooked on making a difference through fundraising is an understatement.

 

Fast-forward many years and a cross-country move to Loudoun County, Virginia. With almost 15 years of experience running fundraising campaigns for causes spanning athletics, academics, medical research, capital campaigns and human services, what gets me up and honestly excites me every morning is building relationships and securing funds on my clients’ behalf. Through various roles at consulting firms and in-house, I have successfully raised more than $10M for programs and projects ranging from student athlete scholarships to homeless shelter operating support, and everything in between.

 

In 2018, I founded LNK Fundraising for a simple reason: I love where I live, and I want to help area nonprofits raise the funds they need to thrive not only at the local, but national, levels. When I am not writing a corporate proposal, developing a direct mail appeal letter, working with board members, or digging into grant applications, I can be found watching Disney movies with my kids, sipping wine at dog-friendly Stone Tower Winery with my crazy lab, trying a new restaurant with my husband, or rooting on the Baltimore Ravens!
